Meet the Authors

Wendy Gallagher and Margaret KM Townsend love meeting children and sharing the magical world of Pink Patsy. Our visits are full of fun, imagination and creativity, giving children a behind-the-scenes look at how our stories are created.

Time to Create

From stone painting to creative art and stories, our sessions encourage children to get creative, use their imagination, ask questions and explore their own ideas.

Story Inspiration

Once inspired, children write and illustrate their very own Pink Patsy story in the little booklets we provide. They proudly fill in their own name as the author and illustrator, giving them a real sense of understanding and pride in what they have made. What a wonderful way to enjoy creative writing!

Imagination Time

We are always amazed at how the children are inspired. They start with Pink Patsy, then make the story their own, inventing new characters and creating a truly unique piece of work. They love us to photograph their creations for our Pink Patsy gallery!

A Fun, Interactive Session

Our visits are lively, engaging and tailored to suit the Key Stage 1 age group. Children can enjoy storytelling, meet the authors, take part in creative activities and discover how a book comes to life. They can ask questions and feel confident as they create their very own version of a Pink Patsy story.
